Testify at CAMPO Against Funding the I-35 Expansion!
ATTENTION! ATTENTION! CAMPO - our regional planning organization - is voting on its new Transportation Improvement Plan on May 13th, which includes funding for I-35 expansion. We need YOU to come to to the meeting to speak up: Ask CAMPO board members to vote against funding I-35 expansion.

Public hearing about I-35 Funding
On April 15, CAMPO (the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization) is voting on their new transportation improvement plan which has the potential to stop the I-35 expansion in its tracks! We are asking you to write to CAMPO and tell them:
Remove funding for I-35 from the 2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Plan

I-35 Lawsuit Press Conference
After months of anticipation, Rethink35 and a diverse array of community partners (TBA) are suing TxDOT over it's I-35 expansion plans. Join our press conference to find out more about the case and hear from co-plaintiffs why they’re getting on board.
We need a BIG crowd to make the biggest possible impact!

Join The Parents’ Climate Community and Rethink35 for a free screening and panel discussion of “The Future of I-35: Caregiver & Youth Voices.” The event will also include a talk by filmmaker Hannah Moore.

Wider Won't Work - The Anti-Expansion Rally
Without opposition, early next year the state plans to widen I-35 from its current 12 lanes to *22 lanes*, bulldozing over 100 homes, businesses, & schools.
We’ve been told by local leaders that they have yet to see that the highway expansion is unpopular with Austinites.
To that end, we are co-hosting this rally with various other nonprofits to get the message across:
Austin doesn’t want more pavement.
We want a city built for people.
Our goal is to host over 2,000 people, which would make this the largest freeway-fighting rally in history.
Come make history with us.

City Council Resolution Support
Austin City Council is considering a resolution opposing the I-35 expansion. This would be a huge, unified message, and potentially a significant turning point.
